VOLUNTEER ASSIGNMENT: Café Volunteer
REPORTS TO: Program Coordinator
GOAL OF ASSIGNMENT: As part of Eastern Area Agency on Aging's Nutrition Program, noontime meals are served to persons 60 and older in Penobscot, Piscataquis, Hancock and Washington counties, either through Meals on Wheels, or in an EAAA Community Café.
The Community Café Volunteer assists the Community Café Manager in the café operation including food service, administrative requirements and program activities (Greeter, Administrative support, Kitchen Aide/Helper, Server, Dishwasher, Set-up/Clean-up).
Experience and Skill Requirements: The following requirements and skills are considered essential:
· Up to 12 months of experience working with the elderly preferred.Education/Skill Requirements: The following education requirements are considered essential:
· High School diploma or GED preferred.
· Knowledge of services and programs available for older persons preferred.
· If driving is required, must possess a valid driver's license and proof of vehicle insurance.
