VOLUNTEER ASSIGNMENT: Runner
REPORTS TO: Program Coordinator
GOAL OF ASSIGNMENT: As part of Eastern Area Agency on Aging's Nutrition Program, noontime meals are served to persons 60 and older in Penobscot, Piscataquis, Hancock and Washington counties, either through Meals on Wheels, or in an EAAA Community CafÃ©. Additionally, we package pet food and supplies for our Furry Friends Program.
The Home Delivery Driver Runner is responsible to assist Home Delivery Driver with delivering and/or transporting food, meals, commodities and/or pet food to cafes and patron homes.
Experience and Skill Requirements: The following requirements and skills are considered essential:
Â· Up to 12 months of experience working with the elderly preferred.Education/Skill Requirements: The following education requirements are considered essential:
Â· High School diploma or GED preferred.
Â· Knowledge of services and programs available for older persons preferred.
