Executive Assistant

The Eastern Area Agency on Aging is accepting applications for a full-time, 30 hour per week Executive Assistant. The Executive Assistant will work in conjunction with the HR Manager to oversee the administrative functions of all volunteer programs. This position also provides administrative support to both the Executive Director and HR Manager.

The Executive Assistant will screen and facilitate onboarding of all new volunteers. Coordinates volunteer recordkeeping and data entry using agency database. Posts volunteer opportunities on external and internal sites. This position takes minutes at Board, and committee meetings. Assists HR Manager with posting open positions, scheduling interviews, processing background checks, and responds to job candidates not hired. Gathers information for and produces drafts of agency newsletters.

The agency is seeking an administrative professional with a minimum of two years of office experience. Candidate must have good written and verbal communication, the ability to work independently and as a team are essential. This position requires excellent computer skills including being proficient in the use of Microsoft Word and Excel. Candidate must be comfortable learning multiple new applications such as agency specific database, Constant Contact, Survey Monkey, and Microsoft Visio.

A High School diploma or equivalent with emphasis on office and business skills; two year Associate's Degree in Business is preferred. A valid driver’s license and proof of vehicle insurance is required.
