Testimonials: Tom Bjorkman
I contacted Ms. Cirrinone at the recommendation of a friend who had relied on her advice for caring for loved ones with dementia. I am the primary caregiver for my 90-year-old mother, who is suffering from middle to late state dementia.
Ms. Cirrinone's advice has been very helpful to me as I deal with the challenge of caring for a loved one with dementia, both the challenge of caring for my mother and the challenge of caring for myself. She suggested useful care strategies. She also gave me advice on resources for finding additional help, including assisting me to find a Senior Companion to spell me once a week and alerting me to training programs relevant to my responsibilities as a caregiver.
Ms. Cirrinone also did research to identify for me several options for specialized care facilities in the area that would be good places for my Mom to live in the event she needs that kind of round the clock care. While advising me on care for my mother, Ms. Cirrinone took the extra step of also informally providing advice to my wife, whose mother is also suffering from dementia.
responsibly for a loved one with dementia requires learning about a lot
of different resources and skills, and Ms. Cirrinone's advice has been
instrumental in helping me through this learning process.
