Eastern Area Agency on Aging is recruiting for a part-time 25 hour per week receptionist. The position is based in our offices at 240 State Street in Brewer. Basic job duties include operation of a multi-line telephone system, greets and assists visitors, monitors office equipment and supplies, and administrative duties such as typing, record keeping, word processing and other assigned projects. The receptionist interprets caller’s needs and must understand agency functions in order to direct calls to appropriate individuals.
Requirements include the ability to handle multiple demands, must have excellent verbal and written communication skills, knowledge and experience using Google and Microsoft office products. The successful candidate will have the ability to present a positive first impression of the Agency to callers and visitors by being professional and having the ability to maintain confidentiality.
High School diploma or equivalent is required. Two to three years of previous receptionist and/or customer service experience is required.
